“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8)
Of all the beatitudes, this may be my favorite. The promise of seeing God is incredible, overwhelming, and exciting! It reminds me of my favorite contemporary Christian song “I can only imagine” which talks about seeing God and asks the questions ‘Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine…” [Written by: Billie]
